A 3D project created in 2012 consisting of traditional tattoo tools and instruments placed on a weaved mat (fala) located inside a small hut (fale). Inspired by ancient tools used by the Sa Su'a & Suluape Family of Samoa.
Re -render of this scene in VRay. This will be one of those projects which will always be a work in progress. As i learn more skills and experience with 3D and VFX this project will also progress as-well.

Black & White Pre-production stage. Conceptual Art of the environment.
Pre-production stage basic geometry was used as a way for me to quickly concept the framing, composition and placement of objects. I then took this image into Photoshop and did a paint-over to try figure out where the light source would come from.
Grey shaded render to test of the composition and strength of shadows. Also still in the modeling stage.
